Karthik Sharma

Karthik Sharma is a talented young singer and a music composer in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu film industry. He is known for his songs in different languages such as Malayalam, Oriya, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi and has worked on more than four hundred songs. Born on 7 November 1980 in a Tamil family in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India was trained in Carnatic vocalist in his school days.

In college days, he was part of a band and performed in different fests including the fest of IIT Madras and Oxford engineering college. He also studied cinematography in Mumbai. He entered into the music industry with the help of this close friend's cousin (Srinivas) who is also a playback singer and have worked with Kartik's childhood hero , the music maestro, AR Rahman with whom he worked for a year and half and studied audio engineering. He started his career from a movie called Pukar, but got a big break during a song shooting for ‘One 2 Ka 4’. Kartik's dream came true of working with AR Rahman when AR Rahman asked him to sing a song for his film star called ‘Nenthukitten’.
