Ashok Kheny is the Managing Director of NICE and also an MLA from the Bidar south area of Karnataka. Ashok was born on 5 October 1950 in Bidar, Karnataka. He went to National Institute of Technology, Karnataka. He also went to Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts, US.

He presently lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Unites States. Kheny is the Managing Director of Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE). The Bengaluru-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) was built under this enterprise. It is a 4 to 6 lane expressway which is privately tolled and connects Bengaluru and Mysore which happens to be the major cities in Karnataka state. He heads the India International Infrastructure Engineers (IIIE) Limited as the Director.

He also owns the Karnataka Bulldozers team of the Celebrity Cricket League Celebrities like actors Playing Cricket is known a >> Read More... (CCL). CCL is a league of eight teams competing in the game of cricket with non-professional (mainly actors) to win the cup. It was formed in 2011. The managing director of CCL is Vishnu Vardhan Induri, an entrepreneur from Hyderabad. The captain of Karnataka Bulldozers is Sudeep, an actor, and filmmaker of Kannada cinema. Karnataka Bulldozers won the CCL cup in the year 2013 and 2014. Kheny is a big admirer of cartoons. Hence, in 2004, he became Indian Institute of Cartoonists’ Honorary Chairman. Indian Institute of Cartoonists (IIC) was formed on 8 June 2001. It is a nonprofit trust located in Bangalore, Karnataka. It promotes the cartoonists in India with Cartoon workshops, Gallery, Library and monthly Cartoon exhibition. IIC hosts Indian Cartoon Gallery in Bengaluru. B.V. Ramamurthy was the Chair Person of IIC before his demise with V.G. Narendra (Managing Trustee), and B.G. Gujjarappa (member Trustee). It was inaugurated by V.S. Ramadevi, the governor of Karnataka. Seven cartoonists were given Lifetime Awards in 2001 and also the most famous cartoonist R.K. Laxman was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award (February 2002). Kheny became the Honorary Chairman when B.V. Ramamurthy passed away.

He dedicated 5000 square feet of premises to the Institute at the center of Bangalore. Indian Cartoon Gallery was established there. It is first of its kind cartoon gallery in India. It is designed in 2000 square feet. It includes a vast hall and a library. Every month, exhibitions are held for amateur and professional cartoonists. It has a name in the Limca Book of Records for the gallery. Different cartoonists head the exhibition every month. Dr. Kalam once visited the gallery on 10 January 2010 to inaugurate the exhibition held by Shreyas Navare.
