Revanna always had a keen interest to act in movies.

Since childhood he wished to play the lead hero in an action film and was focused and adamant on achieving the target. He is the son of an ex-minister of Congress Party - Mr H. M. Revanna. H. M. Revanna was known as the Man Friday of Siddaramaiah, who is the chief minister of Karnataka. During his tenure, he was a close associate of the CM. AnoopRevanna, on his part, was never too keen or interested in political affairs and nor did he wanted to become a politician. While pursuing an engineering degree in automobiles, he got an offer to act in a movie. He left college and grabbed the offer but unfortunately luck wasn't on his side.

The film was scrapped in the pre-production stages and Anoop lost out on his opportunity. After facing such a setback, his father was ready to launch his son but Anoop instead decided to get ready and prepared before entering the industry. He started taking training in acting, martial arts and dance. He spent a lot of time understanding and learning the various small aspects of acting during his training period and from director K. Manju. He started doing theatres, in which his first performance was in the Shakespearean play called Macbeth.

Soon his home productions - VatsalaRevanna and his father assigned R. Chendru to direct AnoopRevanna's debut film. R. Chendru is an award winning director who is known for his works in Taj Mahal, Mylari and Charminar. The Tamil remake was an out and out commercial film and had a simple plot line. The story was mainly focused on family revenge. Anoop had to go through intense workload to prepare for the film. He went to China and trained Kung Fu for a total of 4 months. Unfortunately, the June 2016 released movie was not well received in the theatres and multiplexes. It bombed at the Box Office and collected a meagre return. Currently working on his next film "Panta", Anoop is confident on rectifying the mistakes he committed in his debut.
