Naveen Shankar Rao is a film actor and a brilliant theatre actor, hailing from Ilkal of Bagalkot district. He dropped out of engineering and went on to start a career as a film news reporter in 2009 for a local television channel. He later became an anchor for the program U2 on the channel Udaya Music.
He has been involved with theatre since 2010 for the Rajamarg Art, Culture, and Drama Academy. He has acted in many short films and various television serials. He made his debut movie on the silver screen in 2018 with the movie Gultoo, a cybercrime thriller directed by Janardhan Chikkanna.
He has worked predominantly in the Kannada film industry. He is fluent in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and English. He watches television programs like FRIENDS, Doosukeltha, The Killing, to name a few. His favorite movie is Interstellar.
