Kishori Ballal is a Kannada Actress, whose birthplace is Mangalore of Karnataka. She Married Mr.Sripathi who was a Bharatha Natyam artist hailing from Mangalore in 1950. The Couple got trained from Dr. Siva Ram Karanth and Vysarya Ballal.They got a chance from Durga Khote Productions to enter advertisements. Kishori in the 1970’s played many leading roles in Marathi Plays which turned to Kannada versions also. Mega Serial “Ye Jo Hai Zindagi” made her get knocks from Kannada serial directors also. In 2008, she did a character in the Kannada film “Akka Thangi.” Kishori made her presence in the 2002 movie “Marma” which deal with issues like schizoprenia and hallucination. She also did the role of hero’s (Prithviraj) mother with the famous Bollywood heroine Rani Mukherjee in the film Aiyaa in the year 2012. Kishori Ballal won “Smt Lakshmi Bai Award” in the year 2014.
