C. Ashwath (29th Dec 1939 – 29thDec 2009) was an Indian melody composer and promoter of Bhavageete ("expressive rhyme") in the Kannada dialect. He was also a vocalist and sang many of his creations. He certified with playing Bhavageete songs and making sure that they influenced the everyday man. Born on 29th December 1939. He advanced in Science from National University, Basavanagudi and later labored in Indian Telephone Businesses for 27 years before withdrawing as an Executive Engineer in 1992.

He commenced his melodic career as a follower of Devagiri Shankar Joshi in Hindustani composition. Some of his notable arrangements include the work of tune for Mysooru Mallige – a typical effort of well-known poet K.S. Narasim has a way and his works of Kannada saint Santa Shishunala Sharifa's creations. L. Vaidyanathan met C. Ashwath during the documenting of the flick Kakana Kote in 1976.

This assembly led them on to a compact relationship of almost three periods. Vaidi offered the orchestra for many of Ashwath's pieces, but it was with the picture Yene BaraliIrali that the Ashwath-Vaidi pair became co-workers of great melody. He is, possibly the only Music Manager in Karnataka, to have engraved a niche of his own in all three grounds that demand composition as an element of communication: Drama, Sugama Sangeetha, and pictures. Ashwath has also conveyed out an album called"Nesara Noodu" which entails of 21 drama tunes of his management. In the 1990s, Rajkumar had crooned Kuvempu's 'ElladarooIru' under the harmony guidance of C. Ashwath, which became well-liked. As both a vocalist and musician, he was tremendously prevalent in Karnataka and amid Kannadigas all over the globe. His gig in Bangalore in 2005 got attended by a gathering of almost 100,000 individuals.
