Madhu Bangarappa is a politician, producer, and actor from Karnataka. S. Bangarappa, the late Karnataka Chief Minister, and Shakuntala Bangarappa, her mother, are her parents. S. Madhu Bangarappa was a politician from the Janata Dal (Secular) party. In the Legislative Assembly, he represented the Sorab constituency. He ran for the Shimoga Lok Sabha constituency in the 2018 Lok Sabha by-elections. On 30th July 2021, he was elected to the Indian National Congress.

Madhu Bangarappa has produced a few Kannada feature films. He made movies like “Belliyappa Bangarappa (1992).” His brother Kumar Bangarappa co-produced the film. “Belliyappa Bangarappa” was a smash hit.

Madhu worked as an executive producer in films like “Sharavegada Saradara (1989) and Ashwamedha (1990).” He also produced Kannada movies, such as “Purushottama (1992), Belliyappa Bangarappa (1992), and Kallarali Hoovagi (2006).”

Madhu worked as an actor in films like “Gandugalli (1994), Gokarna (2003), and Aadithya (1996).”

Former Karnataka Chief Minister S. Bangarappa's son, Madhu Bangarappa, is a politician. He was a Kannada actor and producer. His brother, Kumar Bangarappa, produced feature films such as “Belliyappa Bangarappa.” In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he was scheduled to run for Shimoga City Council.

He lost the Sorab assembly election to his brother S. Kumara Bangarappa. S. Kumara received 72091 votes in the elections. In 2013, he ran for and won his first assembly election from the Sorab constituency. He defeated KJP's Halappa by 21,225 votes.

Madhu Bangarappa, a Congress member, and his supporters joined the Grand Old Party. They were welcomed into the party by Congress General Secretary in Charge of Karnataka Randeep Singh Surjewala, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly Siddaramaiah, state unit President D K Shivakumar, and other party heavyweights.

Madhu has worked as an actor and producer in the Kannada cinema business. He was also elected as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Samajwadi Party (Samajwadi Party). His father, Bangarappa was also part of the organization. Madhu Bangarappa served as Karnataka's Chief Minister from 1990 until 1992.

Madhu planned to join the Congress in Shivamogga on Saturday. Higher party officials like Mallikarjun Kharge, Siddaramaiah, and others arrived to oppose the BJP's targeting of Bhadravathi MLA B K Sangameshwar.

Madhu announced his decision to join the Congress in March. He was working as a president in the party. He left the JD(S) to join another party.
