He is married to Sharvani Somayaji and completed his education at SMSP Sanskrit College. He is a passionate movie maker, Actor, Theater Person, and Creative Photographer. He is best known for his work in the movie 'The Best Actor', as a director, which has won him the prestigious Dada Saheb Phalke Award. Nagaraj Somayajis' more notable works in the film industry are Shuddhi (2017) as an actor and Sandalwood (2021) as a producer. He is also the founder of Sarvasva productions and Focus Photography service.
