Joby is a Malayalam film actor, popularly known for his comic roles. Joby belongs to Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. He has been an excellent artist right from his childhood. He participated in several cultural events and competitions in school and college and has won prizes in many of these. Joby made his acting debut with Balachandra Menon's family drama film titled Achuvettante Veedu in the year 1987. Joby started his acting career with small-screen mimicry and stage performances. He won Kerala state awards for the highly acclaimed film 'Mannamkattayum Kariyilayum' in the year 2018.
He portrayed the lead role of a poor man, Balan, in the film. This film helped him earn recognition among his fans. Additionally, he is also a popular television artist and stand-up comedian. Joby has performed on over 3,000 stages across the state, right from his hometown Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod till now. Nowadays, he is a government employee and currently works as a manager of the Kerala State Financial Enterprises Limited, also known as KSFE. Recently, he worked on Ennalum Sharat, a drama and thriller film released in the year 2018.
