Innocent Vareed Thekkethala is the real name of popular Malayalam actor Innocent Vincent. Born on 28 February 1945, Innocent is also a politician. He is an accomplished actor of Malayalam films and comedy is his strength. He delivers witty gestures, and his dialogues in the Thrissur accent is noteworthy. In fact, it is no exaggeration to tell that, Inncoent is a phenomenon in Malayalam films. Mimicking his mannerisms is like tasting sugar for mimicry artistes. His reputation is such that, he is a frequent actor of many Malayalam film directors’ films. 
 
Whether it is comic or serious role, Innocent is very much at comfort. He was such a legend that, he held the position of President of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes for more than a decade. 
 
Innocent debuted into the Malayalam film industry during the year 1972; the name of the film was Nrityashala. He tried his luck in production, but was not successful. He has more than 500 films to his credit, in his long career. He has also worked in some Hindi and Tamil films. 
 
Innocent acted in pivotal comedy character in blockbusters including Ramji Rao Speaking, Mathai Speaking, Godfather, Kilukkam etc. He has donned the role of villain and character artist in films such as Kathodu Kathoram and Keli.
 
His pairing with various superstars was instrumental in the success of such stars. He and K P C Lalitha made the perfect comedy duo. Innocent also tried his luck in stage shows. Innocent has written a memoir of him, named Njan Innocent. 
 
Innocent’s character in the films Devaasuram and Ravanaprabhu (sequel to Devaasuram) was well received and in fact, it is gauged as one of his fantastic role by critics. 
 
On the personal front, Innocent is wedded to Alice and they are blessed with a son. Innocent has several awards to his credit.
