Nishi Govind is an actress, writer and producer, who has predominantly worked in the Malayalam film industry. Nishi started out as a theatre actress. She starred as the lead in numerous theatre plays in Malayalam and also did some musicals due to her singing abilities. After her acting roles got her success in the plays, she also started writing and producing plays. In 2014, she made her debut as both, an actress and writer in Christmas Cake. This award-winning film is a very soul touching tale about a blind boy who gets aided by a clergyman. Nishi played a supporting role in the film.
Her next film was as a producer, 1000: Oru Note Paranja Katha, a hilarious comedy film about an autistic boy who goes on an adventurous journey to retrieve cash from an ATM machine. In 2015, she appeared in Mayapuri 3D, one of the first-ever 3D Malayalam films about two boys who embark on a mystical journey to Mayapuri. The film was filled with fantastically animated monsters and angels.
