Kaloor Dennis is one of the most prolific novelists, scriptwriters andartists in Malayalam movies. Starting his career in 1979 was no ordinary task, but he pulled it off, after working for the film ‘Anubhavangale Nandi.’ The movie opened new doors for the debutant. Having worked for more than a hundred Malayalam ventures, his areas of expertise include script, story, dialogue, and more. His most famous works include ‘Paithrikam,’ ‘Gajakesariyogam,’ ‘ThoovalSparsham,’ ‘January OruAmma’ & ‘ParanjuTheeratha.’ His son followed his footsteps andstarred in works like “Ottanayam’ and‘Entum’ in 2005 and2006 respectively. An artist of Indian origin, he wed Seena Dennis shortly before the start of his illustrious career.

The husband andwife were happily married and are the proud parents of two. Their children are Dinnu Dennis &Deen Dennis. Kaloor did the Malayalam film industry proud when he won awards like the ‘Kerala State Film Award For Best Screenplay’ in 1992 for ‘Kudumbasammedam.’ His career in screenplay started in 1981 with ‘Vayal’ followed by ‘Raktham’ & ‘Sambhavam’ in the same year. After that, he worked in ‘AaRathri,’ ‘ Karthavyam Story soon >> Read More... ,’ Aayudham’ and‘OruVilippaadakele’ in the year 1982. His final jobs in screenplay came in 1984 in ‘Sandarbham,’ ‘KootinilamKili’ and‘MinimolVathikkaanil.’ Side by side, Dennis began to write the dialogues of several movies as well. Notable pieces included ‘Vayal,’ ‘Tharaavu,’ ‘Rakhtam’ and‘Sambhavam’ in 1981.

This followed this surge of talent in works such as ‘AaRathri,’ ‘Karthavyam’ and‘Aayudham’ in 1983. To end his stellar career as a dialogue writer came ‘Sandharbham,’ for which he wrote the screenplay too, a movie in which he delighted his fans in South India. Dennis juggled many roles throughout his tenure in the Malayalam film industry. To add to his expanding territory of expertise comes story-writing, an art he excelled at. Movies that came under his banner included ‘Anubhavangale Nandi,’ ‘IvideKaattinuSugandham,’ ‘AkalangalilAbhayam,’ ‘Aayudham,’ andmany other works with amongst the most famous actors in the industry.

When he ended his career, he did so as a member of the production team on the sets of ‘UnnikrishnanteAadyathe Christmas’ in 1988. The movie turned out to be one of the best things to happen to him as an artist. He turned into a producer in the latter part of his stint in the industry, a move that eventually paid off. The man continues to be a source of inspiration for countless in the South, even after so many years of being a part of such a reputed family.
