He was interested in acting right from his childhood. Ramachandran’s father was a dramatist and a teacher who teaches acting. V P Ramachandran was born in the year 1947. When he was 16, he directed a Malayalam stage play. Kalayum Changalayum was the name of the stage play directed by him. Before his entry to the Malayalam cinema and serial, he has directed more than 200 theatrical plays in his career. His stage performance exceeds 2000 and still he is performing pleasantly. He directed a stage play Naalamatthe Aani, which was very popular for the story and the performance. This story was based on the European mythology. He proudly says that he has not studied acting, but lives as the character. He has also acted in Tamil serials too. He performs all kinds of roles easily. Without any pressure, he handles humorous roles. V P Ramachandran has also directed a classical dance reality show in Malayalam. The reality show was honored by the popular classical dance legends like, Chithra Vishweshwaran, Lakshmi Viswanathan, V.P. Dhananjayan and M.V. Narasimhachari.
