Rebecca Santhosh

Rebecca Santhosh is one of the loved television actresses in the Malayalam daily soap industry. Rebecca was born in Thrissur in Kerala, where she still resides with her family. She was born on 26 July 1998 in a well-off family. She was born to D. P. Santhosh and Jaya Santhosh. Her father, D. P. Santhosh is an engineer.

Rebecca completed her schooling from Chaldean Syrian Higher Secondary School (CSHSS) in Thrissur. She started her acting and modeling career as young as in the fourth standard, at the age of 9. She appeared in an advertisement for jewelry merchandise which marked her first on-screen appearance.

Rebecca learned the art of acting and drama from her grandfather who was a theatre artist. She completed her under graduation from St. Theresa’s College. She completed her Bachelor’s in Management Studies. Rebecca started her career as a child artist in television daily soaps in the year 2011.

Her debut series was Kunjikkoonan where she played the character of Asin. The show premiered on the Asianet TV channel. Rebecca is known predominantly for her work in the Malayalam Television industry. The show that brought state wise fame to Rebecca was Kasthooriman. In this series, she played the role of advocate Kavya for which has been still recognized. The show premiered in 2017 and is still running.

The show is hugely popular and has also been adapted and remade in the Telugu Language. Rebecca has also featured in a number of advertisements for many brands such as Flipkart, Gyproc Interior Designs and Lora Soaps. She has also appeared in movies after Thiruvambadi Thamban.

Her latest movie was Snehakkoodu where Rebecca was cast as the lead playing the role of the character Sneha. This movie was released in 2018. She has been awarded Nimali Chinmayam Awards and Jaycee Foundation Award in 2018 for her role of Kavya in Kasthooriman. She currently hosts Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Keralam on Zee Keralam.
