Lishoy hails from Thrissur, Kerala. He is known as Prabhettan, the name of his character in the teleserial Kumkumapoovu, a super hit mega serial, telecasted on Asianet. The name Lishoy might not ring bells to many, but the audience would surely remember Professor Jayanthi’s husband Prabhettan (Prabhakar Menon). The serial that went to air in 2011 ended in 2014 with 783 episodes; such was its popularity. He is also part of a popular serial on Mazhavil Manorama named Balamani. Lishoy had acted in many movies before he entered the serial world. He acted as Joseph Alukka, father of Kunchako Boban in the movie Kasthooriman directed by Lohithadas. He has also acted as Manichan in Karutha pakshikal in 2006. Lishoy has worked in Muscat, Oman in the early 80’s before he made his entry into the serial and cinema world.
