Naveen Arakkal is a Malayalam serial actor. He studied at Hill Valley High School in Cochin. He also has a degree from the renowned Film and Television Institute of India. He is well known to Malayali's for his role in the popular Asianet serial Amma (Mother). He plays Arjun, a macho police officer in the serial.
Arakkal who lives in Kochi, has also acted in movies. He acted as one of Mohanlal’s soldiers in the 2010 flop Kandahar. He costarred with Asif Ali in director Jis Joy’s 2013 film Bicycle Thieves. The film is not related to the Italian film of the same name . The plot is about the impact of a bank employee on the lives of a bicycle stealing gang. The film became a superhit. He has previously acted in telefilms including the Christian religious film Velankanni Matha, about the miracle in the Tamil Nadu village of Velankanni. He was also involved in Vishudha Geevarghese, a film about the life of St. George. Naveen played the young saint.
In Balamani, a family drama directed by Gireesh Koni, he played Raghavan, the wayward son of Karthu.
In 2015 his new serial Spandanam was launched on Surya TV. Directed by Shahjahan, the serial’s main attenion was drawn by the return of Tamil and Malayalam actress Nandini (Kausalya) after a long time. Spandanam opened to positive reviews.
