Alleppey Sheriff, a Malayali, also known as A. Sheriff, was an experienced and renowned writer, novelist, and director. He used to direct and screenplay numerous Malayalam movies in his time. The Indian legend was born in 1940 to Koprakada Hameed Bava and Raheema Beevi. He was born and lived in Alappuzha, Kerala. He did his schooling in a Mohammedan school which was situated in the same city. He had published numerous novels and short stories. His first published short story was Mukkumaala.
He had a partial filmography history of writing scripts or dialogues for various Malayalam movies such as Prathidwani, Kalippaava, Niramaala, which were released in 1971, 1972, and 1975. He was a director and also instructed or directed great movies in his years. Kalippaava was his first ever feature-film, which came out in the early 1970s. Unfortunately, the prominent star couldn't carry out his profession further after 72 years and took his last breath on December 2, 2015, aging 75 years.
