Mohan Joshi was born in 4th September 1945 on Bangalore, Karnataka. He completed his education and debut from Pune, Maharashtra. He then shifted to Mumbai and started career as a Theatre Artist. He was recognised by the play “Kuryat Sada Tingalam”. Later he performed in various characters in Hindi and Marathi movies. In 1993 he did a successful comedy movie named “Sawat Majhi Ladki”. He played a lead character, a doctor engage in extra marital affair. He worked in Marathi movie “Gharabaher”. He won National Award for Gharabaher. He worked in Tu Tithe Mee, Debu, Balidan and many more.

He also worked in Hindi movies like Gangajal, he plays a negative character named Sadhu Yadav, produced by Prakash Jha Prakash Jha, a director, film producer and screenw >> Read More... . His character was appreciated. Later doing silver screen movie like Mritudand, Ishq, Major Sahab, he also worked in Bhojpuri movies. He also was the president of Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Natya Parishad (A.B.M.N.P). He quit post in 2011, reason for allegation on him.

He steeped in small screen television with Marathi drama named “Agni hotra” in 2009. He worked in Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein, Bhairoba, and many more. He currently working in two Marathi Television drama named “ Gunda Purush Dev Story soon >> Read More... ” and “Eka Laganachi Tisari Gost”.
