He also has his own digital audio studio named RAJKALYAN STUDIO and works as a music director for the production of- classical, semi-classical, folk, bhakti, and bhajan music. Datar is also a founding member and president of Sarvotkarsh Trust which was created for the promotion of Indian classical, semi-classical, folk, and other forms of music in various languages of the country. He has given over 2500 performances in Pune, all over India and abroad.
