She has completed her studies in the field of commerce. She was born to Smt. Shashikala Apte and she trained her at a very early age. She later got the opportunity to learn under the guidance of Pandit Sudhir Apte and Pandit Vasantrao Kulkarni. She has worked as a singer for several Marathi and Bollywood movies.
