Hitesh Chaurasia

Hitesh Chaurasia is a well-known Sound Engineer in Indian Film Industry. He is interested in sound design for 360-degree and VR films. Hitesh graduated from Satyajit Ray Film and TV Institute Kolkata. Hitesh has a great experience as a sound engineer. He also works as Filmmaker and Educator. He created 15 feature films, short films, Web series, documentaries, Radio Dramas, Commercials and TV Shows. Hitesh opened his sound design studio Dantkatha Media. This studio has produced short films, web series and digital content. Hitesh Chaurasia is also an Associate Senior Faculty & Head of Film and Video Communication for the National Institute of Design.

Hitesh received the prestigious V. Shantaram Best Sound Award for the feature film Gajar and Screen Best Sound Award nomination for Bhopal a Prayer for Rain. One of his short films played at the Toronto International Film Festival of South Asia and the 20th International Children Film Festival of India. Hitesh also worked as an academic council member of the Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute Kolkata. He also conducted workshops at Symbiosis Institute of Design Pune, MIT film school Pune and Sound Ideas Academy Mumbai.
