Nakshatra Medhekar was born on 17th February 1996 in Thane, Maharashtra. She completed her schooling from KES Bhagawati Vidyalaya in Thane and later attended Sathaye College in Vile Parle, Mumbai. Nakshatra Medhekar has no connections with the entertainment world as her parents worked in the private sector. Nakshatra Medhekar’s acting career started in 2015 with a Marathi television show. She played the female lead role in the ETV Marathi serial Majhiya Mahera. The show’s story revolves around Pallavi, played by Nakshatra Medhekar, who dreams of becoming a collector but her family plans on getting her married.

It follows the story of how she achieved her dream and became a collector. Later, the next year, Nakshatra appeared in Star Pravah’s show: Lek MazhiLadki. She got the opportunity to play the Gray shaded role for the first time. Her role, Sanika, marries Saket and steps off on a wrong start with his foster sister Meera.
