Dinesh Raut

Dinesh Raut is a talented Nepali Film director, Lyricist, Dancer, and Theatre artist. He was born on 17 March 1982 in Kathmandu and studied class 12 at Janmatri College. After that, he joined the SB group for dance and acting classes. He is married to Rashmi Raut. Dinesh started his career at the young age of 14 as a Theatre Artist. Later, he worked as an Assistant Director in the movie Mero Euta Sathi Cha. His directorial debut movie was I Am Sorry. He has directed many successful movies such as  November Rain, Classic, Parva, and Follow-up Prasad. His upcoming movie Prakash is a social drama.

He has received numerous awards for his excellent direction. November Rain got the Best Director Award Box Office Movies Award and CG DCine Award 2015. The National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) Film Director Award was given to the movie Classic. He also received a Jury Award. Parva, a Follow-up Prasad movie was nominated for the SAARC film festival. As a lyricist, he has written songs for his movies November Rain, Kale Dai from Parva, and Hare Hare from Classic.
