Jasmeen Akhtar, daughter of Rani Akhtar was a renowned singer and model of the Punjabi Music Industry. She was born on 18 July 1991 in Ludhiana, Punjab. She completed her education at Government High School and her graduation, from Punjab University, Patiala. Jasmeen has also done master of music vocals from Master Tara Singh Memorial College of Women, Ludhiana. She was very passionate about singing and started singing from a very young age and took part in school and college functions. Gurdas Mann and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan were the inspiration for her to enter the music industry.

Jasmeen started her career in 2016 with her solo album, The Singing Queen. After that, she released her song Gutt Te Rumaal in 2016 was a huge hit on YouTube, and she started receiving popularity in Punjabi Music Industry. Later she performed in many concerts, wedding sangeets, and various music fests. Jasmeen has a friendly and grounded attitude by which she was gaining success in her life. Some of her famous songs were Kamli (2017), Putt Jatt Da (2017), Snap chat (2018), Daru Wala Bhoot (2018), Hostel Boliyan (2020), Jind Jaan (2019) and many more. After gaining this much success in her life she decided to get married. So finally Jasmeet tied the knot of life with Gurpreet on 10 April 2023.
