Raj K Purohit

Raj k purohit is an actor working predominately in Tamil film and television industry. He could have spent a happy life sitting on his chair in a cabin and giving instructions to his sales staff, but he decided to quit his successful sweet shop and become an actor.

Raj k purohit is a uniquely talented actor whose determination and confidence in himself helped him in accomplishing his dreams. He at first was not supported by his family as becoming an actor was a little high dream for them, but eventually, they decided to support him.

Raj was born in Belgaum, a small town situated on the borders of Karnataka. He completed his school years from St. Paul’s high school and did his graduation in bachelors of commerce from the Gogte College of commerce in Belgaum. Raj discovered his desires to become an actor in the school itself. He used to take part in several cultural programs especially stage shows and theatres.

He also participated in the theatre during his college. After completing his studies when he decided to come to Mumbai it was only his mother who supported and believed that he would achieve his goals. He has been featured in serials such as kum kum, Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, sai baba, lucky, and Zindagimilke bitainge aired on star plus. He further acted in hum panch, rishte, Kasam se and professor Pyarelal telecasted on Zee TV. For Doordarshan, he has acted in serials such as Neela Akash, ardhangini and aparajathia. He also worked for Sony entertainment television by being a part of heena, CID, and aahat. Apart from acting in shows, he has anchored various shows shown on Doordarshan which include Disney hour along with Vishal and Surabhi paired with Renuka shahne.

Besides being a part of the small screen, Raj has also been featured in various movies like aanch, shikar, Dil kya kare, etc. Dil kya kre gave him his first big break.
