The actor who is currently residing in Bangalore, India is a Malayali but never was in Kerala and has been living in Lagos, Nigeria. Rajeev Ravindranathan has always been passionate about acting as a hobby and is a stage artist from a very small age. He worked as a creative director of Saatchi & Saatchi. Rajeev is working for Bollywood film industry as an Indian Film actor,a stand-up comedian, a theatre personality and owner of a creative shop of his own. The actor started his career as from Freaky Chakra which is a 2003 Bollywood comedy-drama film which was directorial by V. K. Prakash and Ziba Bhagwagar. He then played a role in Raja Menon’s Bas Yun Hi (2003), Revathi's Phir Milenge (2004), Guilt (2007).

Also, he did roles in Rajkumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots (2009), Gauri Shinde’s English Vinglish (2012), 'N. Lingusamy’s ' Vettai Vettai is a Tamil television show. The show falls >> Read More... ' (2012) and 'R Balki’s 'Shamitabh' (2015). He performed his first play based on Ayn Rand’s Night of January 16. He has been admired for his portrayal in plays like Owl and the Pussycat, zoo story and Irvine Welsh’s Filth where he had played 30 characters in a riveting one-man show Wholly absorbing one's attention. He also runs an advertising agency called People (www.peopleindia.biz). Apart from showing his talent in movies and plays he is active in advertisements too. A few from his several ads are for Aegon Religare Insurance, Bru coffee, Saffola, Hamam, Prestige, Sprite and TVS Victor. He is exploring the new paths opened to him by English Vinglish. His firm handled the promotion for the movie for two months on facebook and twitter. His motivation lies in the satisfaction of people which he gets through acting, but he doesn’t plan on living in Mumbai.

In an interview, he said that aside from being a theatre actor, he is putting his future in the hands of storytellers everywhere and is looking forward to the projects. He is ready to be a moulding clay which can take any form, and he is willing to present his heart and soul to it.
