He was born in Sankarantham; a place in Tamil Nadu. During his acting careers, there were many rumors spreading regarding his involvement with a leading actress of his times ‘Nirosha’. But he allegedly refused to accept any such news by the media. In 1995, he secretly got married to the same actress in 1995 but exposed and revealed the truth of their relationship in front of the media after three long years. However, he does not possess any child till date. He has performed many movies with his wife in his career. Some of them are ‘Sendhoora Poovae’, ‘Paravaigal Palavidham’. Nirosha is the daughter of the legendary actress of previous years ‘M. R. Radha’. After their marriage, both of them took a break from their acting careers.

But now the couple is back with the same energy to perform and entertain the Tamil audience. Ramki is doing films like Maasai and Biriyani while his wife plays television roles. Currently, the couple has launched a new restaurant. In 1987, Ramki did his debut movie ‘ Chinna Poove Mella Pesu Story soon >> Read More... ’ with his wife Nirosha in a lead role. In 1991, his movie Kuttrapathirikai was to be released. But because of late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination and the Sri Lankan civil war simultaneously; the censor board did not screen it. After 15 long years, this movie finally got released in 2007; deleting some scenes.
