Sri

Sri is a Tamil film actor who got a break after appearing in Tamil serials. He was a graduate in Visual Communications and had auditioned for a  lead role in  STAR Vijay TV’s production  ‘Kana Kaanum Kaalangal ‘which ran for 500 episodes. This actor gave his first audition for Balaji Shakthivel‘s film ‘Kalloori’ (2007), but he didn’t get any role in the film. Later, of course, the actor got selected for Balaji Shakthivel‘s another film ‘Vazhakku Enn 18/9’ (2012). This film was his debut film, and the film was even critically acclaimed. After getting noticed in this film, he received another offer in his hand and got a chance to appear in Mysskin's ‘Onaayum Aattukkuttiyum’ (2013). 

‘Vazhakku Enn 18/9’ fetched Sri critical acclaim and he received STAR Vijay’s best debut actor award. The film was re-made in other south Indian languages and received numerous awards too. After the release of this film Sri is considered as a new promising face of Tamil cinema. The film was the recipient of National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Tamil. It also won Filmfare Awards and Vijay Awards. After the success of this film, Sri received many offers in his hand, but he subsequently turned down many offers for want of best scripts. The success of Sri’s first film made critics observe that he was the new promising star of Tamil cinema. The actor went into the very skin of the role in his debut film by going through the road-side food shops to acknowledge the style of their living and portrayed his role effectively in the film. In 2013, Mysskin's ‘Onaayum Aattukkuttiyum’ got released and the film was a runaway hit. The film ran for 5-weeks in many theaters.
