Vashanth Sellathurai

Vasanth Sellethurai is a talented actor and music composer. He was born on March 6, 1984. His family shifted to Denmark in 1985, where he has spent most of his childhood with his aunt's family, who raised him as if they were his parents. Vasanth started learning piano at the age of 7, and at 9, he began to play the keyboard for his father's drama troupe. In December 1999, he composed his very first song, "Welcome 2000". It became a well-known song among the audience, which made him realize his talent in music. He then started to learn music in different genres and styles.

His main instrument is keyboard, but he also plays bass, guitar, drum, veena, tabla, and various other percussions. Vasanth learned Carnatic music, which influenced him to compose melodious tunes with western Influence. Vasanth entered an academic school in the year 2001 and chose music as his core subject. He then acquired the basics of music composition techniques and to analyze music production from different genres. After that, he finished Electronic Music in a private music school. Currently, he is studying Medialogy at Aalborg University.

" in a massive music event in Denmark where lakhs of fans turned up and gave him tremendous support. It gave him the necessary confidence to continue his journey in the music industry. His 2nd music productions were soundtracks for the Tamil movie Pookkal where he also debuted as the leading movie actor. The movie completed 100 days in cinemas all over the world during 2004-2005. This massive success guided his first leap into the world of cinema. The soundtracks for his next movie 'Ilampuyal' were released by director Vasanth, director Ameer, actor Shaam, producer R.B.Choudry & politician Thirumavazhavan.

The function was very well covered by TV stations Kalaignar TV, Raj TV, Sun TV, and Vijay TV, as well as famous websites like kollywoodtoday.com, indiaglitz.com, tamilcinema.com, galatta.com, and cinesouth.com featuring a web-stream video of the grand event. His acting skills were well hailed by recognized directors, and actors including director Ameer, comedian Karunas, and producer Kalaipuli Thanu. ILAMPUYAL made it to 100 days in Tamil Nadu state and was also broadcasted on channelKalaignar TV.

Many famous singers contributed to his music like A.R.Rahman’s sister Raihana, Srinivas, Karthik, Malathy, Tippu, Haricharan, Sandhavi, Roshini and Manica Vinayagam. He also worked with professional technicians like Autograph movie editor Sathees Kurosawa, cinematographer Kichas, Dasavatharam sound FX developer Raju, E movie story developer Paval Shankar & Super Star Rajinikanth daughter’s studio crew Ocher. Right now, he is working on different movie projects in Tamil Nadu and some music productions with independent artists.
