Devadarshini Chetan

Devadarshini is a Tamil TV serial actor who first made her debut in the year 1998 and is now married to fellow serial actor Chetan with whom she has an 11-year-old daughter, Niyati. She has played several supporting roles in more than 50 films and has appeared in around 20 TV serials. She got her first break through the series ‘ Marmadesam Marmadesam, which means a mysterious land, is a my >> Read More... ’ where she acted along with Chetan. She has also played several pivotal roles in cult serials like Annamalai, Kolangal, Athi Pookkal, Poovilangu among many others. She is widely known for her comedy and sentimental roles in several movies in the first decade of the 21st century.

Her first movie was Kaakha Kaakha where she played a supportive role and continued to act in many other movies like Kadhal Kirukkan, Enakku 20 Unakku 18, 6’2 and Parthiban Kanavu. For the movie ‘Parthiban Kanavu’ she won the Tamil Nadu State Award for the Best Comedian for her role opposite Vivek in the movie, which won her awards and accolades. She continued to don similar roles and was widely known for her comic sense.
Her love for dance showed when she paired along with her husband, Chetan and participated in the Vijay TV reality show, Jodi No.1 and won many praises for her efforts. She played herself in the 2008 Venkat Prabhu-directed ‘Saroja’ and has played sister, mother, neighbor, daughter and even Goddess Parvati till now. Her versatility is her forte, and she is active now on the silver screen as well as the small screen. Her most recent movie was Tenaliraman alongside Vadivelu and has few movies in the pipeline. Currently, she also hosts the comedy show ‘Sunday Galatta’ that airs on Sun TV every Sunday.
