Sivaranjani

Sivaranjani is the veteran, talented, and prevalent face of the Tamil film and television industry. She is also popularly known by her other screen name Ooha. Born and brought up in Chennai, she belonged to a middle-class traditional Tamil family and actively participated in theatre plays since her college days. Sivaranjani is also an acclaimed and trained classical dancer. She made her debut in acting on the silver screen with the Tamil movie – Mr. Karthik. Sivaranjani appeared in many critically acclaimed and commercially successful Tamil movies such as Thalavasal, David Uncle, Thaalattu, Rasa Magan, Ooha, etc. Siva Ranjani also starred as a leading lady in many Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada films. In the late ’90s, actress Sivaranjani got married to popular film personality Meka Srikanth Meka Srikanth, born in Gangavathi, Karnataka (23 M >> Read More... , and together they had 3 children- 2 sons Rohan and Roshan, and a daughter Medha. After a sabbatical from the film industry for almost 10 years, actress Sivaranjani decided to make her comeback in the entertainment industry. Surprisingly, this time she chose a Tamil television serial Maa as her comeback vehicle. In this serial, she was offered a strong and pivotal character role which she gladly accepted. The story of Maa revolved around the search of a little girl for her true parents and true identity. Sivaranjani won many Tamil telly awards and accolades for her acting skills in Maa.

Sivaranjani started her career in the Kannada industry and turned popular by playing Tamil and Telugu films. She had also acted in a few Malayalam films.
