Manu Ramesan is a well-known music composer in Tamil movies. He is the son of famous poet and lyricist, S. Ramesan Nair. Manu Ramesan learned music composing from his father. He always noticed his father when he used to work and started learning things.

He developed a keen interest in music and watching his talent, his father guided him wherever Manu felt like losing the way. He has been a part of many commercials since he started his career as a music composer. He started as a music composer for a song in the album named, Mazhaa.

After that, he gave music for commercials like Frankis Alukkas Jewellery, Mumbai Silks, KERF ENT Speciality Hospital, and UNICEF. After serving as a music composer in commercials, he finally got the biggest break of his career.

He was offered to work as a music composer in “Raattinam”. Raattinam is a Tamil romantic drama film, directed by K.S. Thangasamy, starring Laguparan and Swathy. His work in the debut movie was remarkable. He was appreciated for his work. After “Raattinam,” Manu worked in the movie named “ Ettuthikkum Madhayaanai”. Ettuthikkum Madhayaanai is a Tamil film, directed by K.S. Thangasamy, starring Sathya and Sreemukhi along with Laguparan and Sam Anderson playing pivotal roles.

The movie was released in 2015. After being part of the big hits, Manu Ramesan also composed music for PETA India. PETA India is an organization that desires to protect animals from being harmed. Their principle says that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment, or use for entertainment. He also did Jingles for Asten Mather, Jayalakshmi Acapella, and worked in Ads such as Beena Home solutions, Oralium, and Stellion.

He was also part of music composing team for Muthoottu Mini, directed by Dileep GJ. Muthoottu Mini is an insurance company that has to co-operate ties up with insurance giants such as LIC, Star Health etc. Manu Ramesan also worked for big brands such as Georoof Ultima. He was a music composer for their commercial.

He also worked in the movie 8:20, a Malayalam movie directed by Shyam Mohan, starring Avantika Mohan, Bijukutan, and Arjun Nandakumar. Sonu Nigam sang a song in the movie which was composed by Manu Ramesan and edited by Babu Ratnam. After “8:20,” he worked for an album, named Nangeli. It is a Malayalam Acapella song.

He also worked in movies such as “Gulumal : The Escape,” a Malayalam movie, directed by V.K. Prakash, starring Jayasurya and Kunchacko Boban. He was also the captain of Alappuzha team in Indian Music League. It is a musical game show, which was used to telecast on Flowers TV.
