". Though Hari Madrazee hails from Palakkad in Kerala, he spent most of his childhood in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Hari studied at Sri Sitaram Vidyalaya in Chennai and graduated from Sri Sitaram Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School in 2005. He studied Bachelors of Science in Visual Communication at DG Vaishnav College in Chennai, graduating in 2008 and then earned a Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication degree from Gurunanak College Velachery in 2010. After graduating, Hari started his anchoring career with Makal TV where he anchored in "Yaaruku Aayiram" and "Chetta Pranigal". He joined Makal TV in 2009 and worked for two years before joining Thanthi TV in 2012.

He even featured in Kundum Magazine’s October 2011 edition and on Deccan Chronicle’s TV Guide page in the article ‘Anchors open up on their struggles and their current status.’ He also wrote a column in The New Indian Express on 3rd January 2011 titled ‘God is the binding force’ and more articles in Deccan Chronicle’s entertainment section. It was at Thanthi TV where he rose in fame in a surprisingly short amount of time. In his five year career Hari interviewed various high profile politicians on controversial topics, while covering current affairs.

He has interviewed high profile politicians like former Pakistani President Parvez Musharraf and former Sri Lankan President Mahinde Rajapakse. In 1995, he also covered the UN Human Rights Conference in Geneva, where he gained an exclusive interview with former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillai on Sri Lankan war crimes. In 2015, Hari’s interview with Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe garnered controversy, when the Sri Lankan PM threatened to shoot down Indian fishermen who would cross the Lankan border. Hari also hosts "Ilaignar Ani" on Thanthi TV where the youth debate on controversial issues. The opening show aired on 18th January 2015 where students debated on ‘whether prostitution can be legalized?’ Other popular episodes include ‘Is Complete Prohibition of Alcohol Possible?’, ‘Do You Support Religious Conversion?’, ‘Is Tamil Cinema Dominating Politics?’, ‘Modi’s One Year Rule: Development or Disappointment?’ and other topics. Hari received the Youth Icon Award on 12th January 2016.
