Mercy Chithra

Mercy Chithra is a resourceful and intriguing News presenter and sub-editor at Kalaignar Televison Network . She hosts live news bulletins on Kalaignar Seithigal channel . She was also a news presenter at Sathiyam Television Network. She hosts wedding events, other cultural events, and also does voice dubbing for various movies. In November 2012, when she wanted a job in Kalaignar Television Network, her brother Immanuel Carter and her friend Vivek R Nair referred her to Divya Chandrashekar who was working in the same television channel. She got her first break in the channel as a news anchor. Before she got offers in television, she was pursuing her education as a teacher.

She has completed her studies in Bachelor of Arts in English as well pursued Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Madras. Other than news anchoring , she actively takes part in campaigning and social welfare activities. She took part in CSI girl child campaign workshop on moving beyond conflicts and building peace on the occasion of girl child day. She was invited as a special guest at the launch of Vayal Foundation introduced by Needz and Kidz Kool Academy which focuses on further farming and its benefits to the next generation . Mercy Chithra also hosts an interview show with the well known doctors which is named as “Nalamariya.”

Amongst them few are Dr. Rathnavel who is a Dermatologist solving the issues regarding skin , hair, and its diseases. Likewise, there are many other interviews hosted by her and in each of the interviews we are provided with the knowledge of what causes the disease, what are the tests to be performed to diagnose the disease, and its symptoms .
