Saindhavi is the female Tamil singer who sings for movies, TV serial, and albums. She was born on 3rd January, 1989. She excels both in light music as well as classical music. She started singing at the young age of 3. She is excellent in Carnatic music. From very young age, she has been performing in various temples as well as concerts. Till now she has performed in over 1500 concerts worldwide. She had her primary education from Chettinad Vidyashram School in RA Puram, in Chennai, India studied Sociology and Psychology. Saindhavi married her schoolmate and music director G V Prakash Kumar on 27th of June 2013 in Chennai, India. During her school days she decided to concentrate on her music career along with her education. She excelled in Carnatic music, Western music, and classical music. She also participated and won a music reality show on Vijay TV.

At the age of 16 Saindhavi's career was flying. She has released albums, sung in advertisements and for various movies. Her shows include the Carnatic songs of “Chennayil Thiruvayaru” cast by Lakshman Shruti Orchestra and were on air on Vijay TV. The Carnatic songs sung by Saindhavi in this show took her to greater heights in her career. The song 'Andankaaka' in "Anniyan" sang by Saindhavi was the great hit. The song made her famous. Again her next song that was the blockbuster was Achu Vella Kurumbae in "Thotti Jaya."
