S Sarala, known as Sarala Amma, was born in Chennai, India. She is a famous Tamil Playback Singer of her time. Sarala started her career as a playback singer at 12 and gave her voice to the song Rattha Kanneer, the stage play by M.R. Radha. Sarala did not just give her voice in Films and Dramas but also sang many devotional songs. Her songs were released on HVM Recordings.
