Maya Iyer participated in both the first and second seasons of the TV reality show that began in 2007 and is hosted by Vijay TV. Maya is blessed with a beautiful voice, and she takes the audience into a trans-kind of state with her singing. Her performances in Super Singer Junior were overwhelmed, and she received a huge amount of name and popularity through this singing platform. Maya’s songs are big hits in the film industry. Jumping into her professional career, Maya Iyer worked as a playback singer for quite some movies and was well-identified for the songs she had sung. She puts in her complete effort and does justice to the song with her vocals. She made her debut in the singing field officially by singing a song in the film Annakodi (2013). Annakodi is a Tamil film directed by the legendary film director Bharathi Raja. Music for this film was composed by the Indian music director duo Sabesh-Murali. The film was released on 20 January 2013.

Apart from this, she also sang a song in the Telugu film Run Raja Run, starring Sharwanand, and Sujeeth Reddy directed it. The film Run Raja Run was released in Andhra Pradesh in the year 2014.
