Babloo Prithiviraj is an Indian actor who is famous for his work in Telugu and Tamil Movies, and TV serials. He is one of the actors who started their career at a very tender age. He was born in 1966 in Bangalore. He started his career as a child artist in Tamil films. But after working in a few films he left acting for many years. It was in late 80s, that he again started his acting career with low-budget Malayalam Movies. His fine acting bagged him roles in some big movies. Finally, he got a lead role in blockbuster Tamil movie “Vaaname Ellai” in 1992. This movie changed his career and many directors offered him some major roles.

Babloo Prithviraj has worked in more than 25 Telugu and Tamil Films up to date. Along with positive roles, he played negative roles too.

He played important roles in TV serial “Ramani Vs Ramani” and Tamil supernatural drama “Marmadesam”. Babloo played the role of Ganga in “Arasi”. This serial was telecasted in Tamil and Telugu languages during 2007 to 2009. Currently, he is playing a lead role in one of the most popular Tamil serials “Vani Rani” which airs on Sun TV. Because of its growing popularity, this serial was dubbed into Telugu which airs on Gemini TV.

Babloo Prithiviraj is a Tamil cine/serial actor, who is also a popular host for many TV shows. He hails from Chennai and acts in Tamil and Telugu industries.

Babloo Prithiviraj started as a child artist in 1970s. He made a comeback to the screen in the late 1980s by acting in some low budget Malayalam movies that never brought him fame. He got into the Tamil industry by acting in the movie “Vaaname Ellai” directed by K.Balachander. His performance was fairly praised in that flick that won the director a Filmfare award. He then started acting in negative roles in movies like “Aval Varuvaala” before entering tele serials.

Babloo played crucial roles in the serials “Ramani vs. Ramani” and the supernatural thriller “Marma Desam” , both directed by Naga. These serials gained him a breakthrough, fair enough to earn him more projects. He hosted the famous game show “Savaal” in Jaya TV. It was this tenure of his that brought him to great heights. He began to appear in many serials after that.

Babloo also starred in the Gautham Menon flick “Vaaranam Aayiram” as a goon and as a movie star in Radhamohan’s “Payanam”. Both movies were praised by critics and went on to be hits.

Babloo took everyone by surprise by acting as a Transgender goon Ganga in Radhika’s serial “Arasi”. His performance was praised by everyone. He continued to act further in the serials “Raja Rajeshwari” and “Vani Rani”.

Babloo Prithiviraj’s personal life is quite grim. His son is autistic and he was involved in a quarrel with Bangalore airport officials when his son wasn’t allowed to board the plane. He was also involved in a fight with leading Tamil actor STR in the dance show “Jodi no. 1 season-2” leading him to quit the show after that incident.

He married Beena in 1994 with whom he has a son named Ahed Mohan Jabbar. His son is autistic. In September 2022, he divorced Beena after being separated for six years. The same year, in November, he introduced Sheetal, his junior, as his to-be wife. After portraying crucial roles in the Tamil sitcoms “Ramany vs Ramany” and the supernatural thriller series “Marma Desam” in the 2000s, Babloo Prithviraj portrayed roles in many films.

In 2000, he appeared in twelve Tamil and Telugu languages films, including Sudhandhiram, Sammakka Sarakka, Nagulamma, Goppinti Alludu, Kante Koothume Kanu, Devullu, and others. In 2003, Babloo Prithviraj appeared in the bilingual devotional film “Annai Kaligambal / Shri Kalikamba,” written & directed by Rama Narayanan. He made his memorable appearance in a 2004 Indian devotional horror film, “Swetha Naagu,” starring Abbas, Soundarya, and Sarath Babu. In 2015, he played the role of Kuppuswamy in the Malayalam-language action spy thriller film, “Lailaa O Lailaa,” directed by Joshiy. In 2019, Babloo Prithviraj appeared in four Telugu- language films, such as Neerthiraj (as a David), NTR: Mahanayakudu (as a Jaipal Reddy), Kathanam, and Marshal (as a G.M. Ravindar Reddy).

In 2022, he appeared in two Telugu- language romantic films, as a Phani Bhusan in “Balamevvadu” and as Sindhuja’s father in “Urvasivo Rakshasivo.” In 2023, he appeared in the Hindi-language action thriller film “Animal,” co-written, edited, and directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Babloo Prithviraj starred as Gokul in the Tamil-language soap opera “Gokulathil Seethai,” aired on Kalaignar TV from 2008 to 2009. He featured as Gautam Krishnan in a 2020 – 2023 popular Tamil-language family drama soap opera “Kannana Kanne,” aired on Sun TV. In 2021, he played the role of Rohit in the Telugu-language serial “Intinti Gruhalakshmi,” which aired on Star Maa and is also available on Disney+ Hotstar.

In 2023, he essayed the role of Balamani in the Telugu television series “Ardhangi,” which aired on Gemini TV. Babloo Prithviraj appeared as a contestant on many shows, such as Jodi Number One (Season 2, 2008-2009), Cash 2.0 (2020), Poova Thalaya (2021), Galatta Kudumbam (2022), Maathi Yosi (2021), Wow 3 (2022), Super Samayal (2022), and many more. He appeared as a guest in the Tamil-language live morning Talk show “Vanakkam Tamizha,” which aired on Sun TV from December 2017 to 2023. In 2023, Babloo Prithviraj portrayed the role of MLA Penmastsa Parahurama Raju in the Telugu-language crime thriller web series “Dayaa,” written & directed by Pavan Sadineni.
