Vasu Vikram

Vasu Vikram is known as one of the hard working actor of Tamil industry, no matter it is drama serials or films. He started his acting career in a film named “Naan Potta Savaal” directed by Puratchchi Dasan in 1980. In English, the title means “The challenge I tool” and it is fairly said that Vasu Vikram took the challenge for his future life after this movie and keep on doing his work with his full efforts.

Vikram Vasu is an Indian actor and stage director who has acted in Tamil Films and Television shows. He was born on 16 December, 1966, in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India, to M.R.R. Vasu (father) and Lalitha (mother). Coming from a family of actors, he is the grandson of M.R. Radha; several other family members are also active in the industry, including his uncle Radha Ravi and aunts Radhika and Nirosha. He made his debut with the movie Palaivanathil Pattampoochi (1988). He proceeded to take on supporting roles for several other films like Idhu Namma Bhoomi (1992), Sandimuni (2020), Manju Virattu (1994), Parvathi Ennai Paradi (1993), Sangili Bungili Kadhava Thorae (2017), Ilaignar Ani (1994) and more.

Vikram is known for appearing in villainous and comedy roles. He has also appeared in several TV shows like Chellamay (2009 – 2013), Tamil Selvi (2019 – 2020), Chithi (1999 – 2001), Azhagu (2017 – 2020), Saravanan Meenatchi (2011 – 2018), Thendral Vanthu Ennai Thodum (2021 – 2023), Bharathi Kannamma (2019 – 2023), Nalla Neram (2013 – 2014), Abhiyum Naanum (2020 – 2023), Vani Rani (2013 – 2018), Chinna Papa Periya Papa (2014 – 2018) etc. He won critical acclaim for his role as as a villainous character called ‘Velumani’ in Radhika’s T.V. Show Chitthi.

He acted in 9 films and a few drama serials his most famous movies are Pudhumai Pithan (1998), Soori (2003), Kola Kolaya Mundhirika (2010), Summa Nachunu Irukku (2013), Thalaivan (2014), and “Moondram Pournami” which released on August 09, 2015.

In 2021, Vikram played a negative role, Advocate Jayaseelan, in the Sun TV series Roja with Sibbu Suryan, Priyanka Nalkari, and “Vadivukkarasi.” The same year, he shared the screen space with Jeeva, Shritha Shivadas, and Poornima Bhagyaraj in the Colors Tamil series, Enga Veetu Meenakshi. In 2022, Vikram was seen in the movie Bestie with Ashok and Yashika Aannand. In 2023, he was seen in Sandakozhi, a Zee Tamil series, as Poonai Kannan with Riya Vishwanathan and NiyazKhan. The same year, he was seen in the movie Va Varalam Va with Balaji Murugadoss and Mahana Sanjeevi. In 2024, he shared the screen with “Nakul” and “K S Ravikumar” in Vasco Da Gama. In 2025, he played in the Vijay TV series Sindhu Bairavi Kacheri Arambam with Pavithra Naik, Aarthi Subhash, Anandha Krishnan, and Dhiraviyam Rajakumaran.
