Geetha Ganesan

Geetha Ganesan is a famous Bharatanatyam dancer. She was born to Shrimati Rajam Ganesan and Shri Ji Ganesan. Geetha has done her schooling at St. Anthony's, Hyderabad, and St. Ann's College, Mehdipatnam. After her father transferred to Indore, she completed class 12th from Daly College, Indore. She holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics (hon.) from Holkar Science College, Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore, and a master's degree in Performing Arts from S.N. School of Fine Arts, Performing Arts and Communication, University of Hyderabad, under the guidance of Sri Sumathi Ramalinga, Shastri Dr. Natarajan Ramakrishna, and Dr. PSR Appa Rao.

She is a recipient of the scholarship from the Human Resource Development Dept., Government of India. She had her initial training in Bharatanatyam under her mentor Guru Shri P.R. Balakrishnan. Then, she was guided by Guru Shri V.S. Rama Murthy and Guru Shrimati Manjula Ramaswamy in Hyderabad. Geetha is one of the few young Bharatanatyam enthusiasts acclaimed as an accomplished dancer, a vocalist, a dance guru, and Nattuvanar. She is one of the most sought-after Bharatanatyam dancers of today.
