This Hyderabad-based DJ is popularly known as DJ Kan-i across the DJ fraternity. This DJ, at a young age, has reached a remarkable height in a genre called turntablism. Turntablism involves creating music by manipulating sounds and creating music using DJ mixer and turntables. It is an art where a DJ can change and mix music, does sampling and scratching the music.

Making the genre of turntablism aware to music lovers, DJ Kan-i plays a significant part. However, his genres also include majorly hip-hop and other styles like urban-contemporary, electro house, and house. He is the first DJ who is credited with the feat of introducing video turntablism in India, and is believed to be among the top DJs in the same genre.

From the year 2004-05, Dj Kan-i turned up as a runner-up in the war of the DJs. His career took a turn from here and he went places with his newly achieved popularity. His climb to success was one step at a time. He was named as India’s Best Hip-Hop DJ in 2009 and 2010. In Las Vegas, September 2012, he got an opportunity to participate in the Video DJ Battle conducted by the second annual Video DJ Conference.

DJ Kan-i has been a DJ at major venues across the country and also abroad, like NYC, LA, Dubai and Bangkok. Styluxtakut, a Singapore-based producer, visited Mumbai in April 2016. Given his tongue twisting name, his talent is unique too in scratching and turntables. In his recent interview, he happens to mention his favorite DJs in India and what he feels about music in general. This famous DJ has made a name for himself in Singapore and Malaysia, and he mentions that he listens to DJ Kan-i when asked about which Indian DJs he listens to. He finds Kan-i to be a talented DJ and admitted that he enjoys his mixes.
