Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao

Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao- The most wanted editor for the directors of Indian Cinema. He was born in David in Krishna district which is located in Andhra Pradesh. Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao is a film editor in Telugu cinema industry. He is not only an editor but he also produces a lot of films. He started his career in the year 1977. He lived in Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh. And he served as the president of Andhra Pradesh film federation along with his younger brother Kotagiri Gopal Rao. He had been in that post for almost six years. He married Sujatha and he has two daughters namely Padmaja and Neeraja.

Unfortunately, his brother Kotagiri Gopal Rao died on 6th November 2012. His elder brother took care of his family after their father's death. At that time Venkateshwara Rao was not interested in academics. He did not continue his graduation after completing the matriculation. And after that, he planned to become a film editor. Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao founded the foremost movie making industry called Kotagiri Films which produced a numerous number of blockbuster films. He has worked as an editor in more than fifty films. With the help of K.Raghevendra Rao, he became an editor. He made his debut in Adavi Remuda in 1977.

This was directed by K.Raghvendra Rao. Even though he was introduced to cinema by his brother he became the most successful editor only by his hard work and talents. The government of Andhra Pradesh honored him by giving him the Nandi award which was the greatest honor by the Andhra government for the actors and the film industry. He won the award five times. He won numerous awards such as Nandi award for Sye, Subhash Chandra Bose, Darling, Magadheera, and Vijay award for Naan Ee. He also called as Chandi Guru in the film industry. In Magadheera, he worked hard and got that award in 2009.

Though he worked for more than fifty films he got limelight all over the India by the movie Megathere. He was worked with famous directors such as S.S. Rajmouli, Y.S Chowdary, and few others. He worked with S.S Rajmouli in a lot of films who was considered as one of the greatest directors in Indian cinema. The romantic movie Premam which made the youngsters stunned all over the India was edited by him. This movie made him a great editor in the Kerala cinema Industry. Because of the movies Baahubali and Premam, he is the most wanted editor in the Indian cinema.
