Anuradha

Anuradha is one of the legendary artists of Indian TV and film industry. She acted in more than 700 films of Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and Oriya language films. She was born in 1966 in Indian state “Tamil Nadu”. Her original name was Salochna. She is daughter of Tamil choreographer Krishna Kumar Krishna Kumar also popularly known as KK Kichu is >> Read More... and hair dresser Saroja. This parental link to film industry provided her an early chance to build a career. Director K.G. George introduced her to industry when she was 13. He also gave her the screen name Anuradha.

She started her career as a lead role artist but later shifted her career to item numbers. She is famous for her item songs. Her main work belongs to the decades of 80s and 90s. Some of her main films are “Oolkatal (1979)”, “Mortuary (1983)”, “Coolie (1983)”, “Shatru (1985)”, and “Pyaar Kar kay Dekho (1987)”. After year 2000 she just acted in two films. One is Malayalam film “Winner” that released in 2005 and second is Telugu film “Maya Bazar” that hit the screen in 2010.

Anuradha is just performing for TV from a few previous years. Two of her Tamil serials “ Thangam Nakkeeran directed Thangam, which is a Tamil seria >> Read More... ” and “Mutharam” got great popularity. These Sun TV serial just ended in 2014. In a career that spans more than 30 years, she already acted in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Oriya-language films. Malayalam film director, K.G. George introduced her to the film industry when she was just 13 years old. Anuradha was very tall then, that’s why she was given the name “Anuradha”. In fact, she is the tallest actress during those times. Initially, she usually played as a heroine and later shifted to doing item numbers.

Anuradha has acted in over 700 films and few television serials. Some of her films include Mohana Punnagai, Vetri, Nandri, Sirai, January 1, Alai Osai, Chain Jayapal, Raman Sreeraman, Engal Kural, Saavi, Viduthalai, Raja Mariyadhai, Chinna Mani, Winner, Gethu, and many more. She was also seen in few Sun TV serials, including Thangam, Muthaaram, and Deivamagal. Anuradha is currently working on the Tamil supernatural fantasy soap opera, Ganga.
