Nandini Rai is an actress who chose to enter acting world as she felt there was a lot of scope in the medium where people can concentrate on acting skills. As her parents had supported her to accept any profession where she can put her heart and soul, there were no family issues for this model-turned-actress to land up in the film industry. In her childhood, she was foodie and chubby too. Later as she grew up, she lost weight and landed up in the fashion world. As a chubby girl, she took rigorous training and controlled her diets for two years and then appeared in the model word. She likes to do commercial advertisements rather than doing some comfortable walking on ramps. She feels that there is always a need to have a different body language for a modeler, and she could fit into the modeling world more as a brand face than a walker in fashion shows. She holds a graduation in computer science too. As a modeler, she has endorsed over 80 Indian and international products and done TV commercials too.

In 2008, Nandini was titled ‘Miss Andhra Pradesh’ and later as ‘Miss Hyderabad­ Pantaloon Fresh Face’.After a successful modeling career, she landed up in films concentrating on Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and even Tamil films too. She acted as Soundarya’s daughter in one film and after which she made up her mind to make a big in Indian screen. She made her debut in a Hindi film ‘Family Pack’ and again got another Hindi film ‘Login’. This bubbly actress entered Tollywood as a leading lady in Telugu flick ‘040’ and ‘Mayaa’.
