She did not start wearing a hijab until she turned 20. She is a fashion designer best known for her self-funded company, Pearl Daisy. The company, Pearl Daisy, designed the head scarfs. She eventually became the first hijab model in a L'Oreal hair-care campaign. Amena Khan began wearing a hijab at 22 and later took it off at 36. Her husband is Osaama Khamkar, and the couple has two children. One of their children was born in 2009, and another in 2011.
