How Are They The Same Age?

Age is just a number they say. In today’s world, you cannot just look at people and guess their ages. Some look too old; some look too young. We don’t know their secrets but here’s a list of celebs who surprised us:

1. Nargis Fakhri and Konkona Sen Sharma (36)

Both Nargis and Konkona are film actresses and would be turning 37 this year. While Konkona made her debut in 1983 as a child artist in the movie ‘ Indira’, Nargis is comparatively new to the industry. She first appeared in Bollywood in 2011 in the film ‘ Rockstar’ alongside Ranbir Kapoor. Nargis is also a model and was a contestant on America’s Next Top Model. She has also done a Hollywood movie, ‘ Spy’. Konkana appeared in a Bengali film Goynar Baksho and also received an award for it.

2. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Malaika Arora Khan (42)

Both these stunning ladies were born in the year 1973. While Malaika is known for her steaming hot figure, Aishwarya is known for her deadly looks. Both of them are amazing dancers- Malaika is more about sexy dancing while Aishwarya is a beautiful classical dancer. Both these actresses started their careers with modelling. They are both married and have done some movies. Aishwarya’s restricted to the cinema. However, Malaika is also a famous TV face. She judges India’s Got Talent and has previously been on the panel of judges on Nach Baliye, Zara Nach Ke Dikha and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa.

3. Parineeti Chopra and Anushka Sharma (30)

Parineeti and Anushka are both new generation actresses. Gorgeous and full of talent, both of them are close to our hearts. Anushka made her debut with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi opposite Shah Rukh Khan in 2008 while Parineeti appeared in movies in 2011 with Ladies vs Ricky Behl opposite Ranveer Singh. Parineeti is bubbly and cheerful while Anushka is glamorous and confident. Both these young ladies have a long way to go. They have both won many awards and are the leading ladies in B-town today.

4. Rani Mukerji and Vidya Balan (38)

While seeing their names together we realize that they are from the same time, but who would’ve otherwise thought that these two beauties were of the same age? Rani started her career with a Bengali film, Biyer Phool, in 1996. She then came to Bollywood and appeared in Raja Ki Aayegi Baarat in 1997. Vidya, on the other hand, was famous as Radhika, the big spectacled girl from Hum Paanch. She too made her debut in movies with a Bengali movie, Bhalo Theko. She became renowned in Bollywood only after her superb role in ‘ Parineeta’.

5. Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan (50)

The three Khans stepped into their 50s last year. The rulers of Bollywood, all three of them have given us movies to cherish, to watch over and over again. ‘ Dabangg’ style of Salman, Shah Rukh’s romance, and Aamir’s perfection - what would the industry be without them? They are almost synonymous to Bollywood. While Salman keeps releasing movies all through the year and Shah Rukh does three or four movies in a year, Aamir does one film per year. So when we’re bored of Salman (which is never), we shift to Shah Rukh, and when there is no more Shah Rukh, Aamir pops up. The three of them keep us entertained throughout the year. The most influential and loved actors of B-town, they have all our love and luck to keep them soaring high.

6. Hrithik Roshan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui (42)

While neither of the two look 42, they surprisingly are. We know Hrithik from Kaho Na Pyaar Hai. He is a constant delight. Handsome, smart and hot, and an amazing dancer, he is a complete package. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who we remember from ‘ Kahaani’, had actually done a lot of movies before Kahaani as well. He went unnoticed for a very long time. He then appeared in Gangs Of Wasseypur and has become a common name ever since. He is a talented guy.

7. Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shweta Tiwari (35)

Really? Shweta Tiwari is 35? We were shocked too. She seems like a generation old. A familiar face from Kasauti Zindagi Kay, we still remember her as Prerna Bajaj. She participated and ended up winning Bigg Boss. She even participated in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. She still does TV serials. She did ‘Parvarish’ and is currently doing ‘ Begusarai’. On the other hand, Kareena is a film actress. Bebo made her debut with ‘Refugee’. She is a bold and outspoken actress who is married to actor, Saif Ali Khan. She is talented and very attractive.

8. ‘ Sridevi’ and Ratna Pathak (52)

Both Sridevi and Ratna Pathak are legends. However, while Sridevi still looks like she was in her late 30s, Ratna aged normally. Sridevi is a beautiful actress and an even more beautiful dancer. She was known as the “ Amitabh Bachchan” of her time. She made a comeback in movies with English Vinglish, looking as young and gorgeous as she did a decade back. Ratna however, we mainly remember from the amazing show Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai. Her absolutely beautiful acting and way of presenting herself stunned us. We last saw her in ‘ Khoobsurat’. She may have become older but has still not lost her confidence and poise.

9. Dilip Joshi and Akshay Kumar (48)

Who would have ever thought that our Khatron Ka Khiladi and Jethalal Gada were actually born in the same year? Two very well-recognized faces and loved personalities among the kids of the country, they are both amazing entertainers. Dilip Joshi is one of the most versatile actors we’ve ever seen. He mostly takes up comedy roles and fits in them perfectly. Akshay Kumar is more into movies. Comedy suits him as much as thriller does. His stunts and delivery keep us attracted to him. Ask a child his favourite show and he says ‘ Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ and ask him his favourite movie and it’ll be the last Akshay Kumar starrer.

10. Farhan Akhtar and Ram Kapoor (41)

While Farhan Akhtar grew up in the environment of showbiz and fame, Ram paved his own path. Farhan is an actor, director, producer, screen-writer, singer, lyricist and a TV host. He is super-talented. He made his debut in direction with Dil Chahta Hai before he did in acting. He first appeared in movies in 2008 with Rock On. Being the son of the famous Javed Akhtar, Farhan is a fantastic lyricist and can even sing well. Ram is mainly a TV actor. He appeared in Kasamh Se and Bade Achhe Lagte Hain. He even hosted Rakhi Ka Swayamwar. He also appeared in the film Student Of The Year.

11. Nana Patekar and Om Puri (64)

Nana, though very talented, couldn’t ever make it big in the industry. On the other hand, Om Puri has done a lot of films- both in Bollywood and Hollywood, and also in other Indian languages. While Om Puri looks his age, who could’ve guessed Nana was almost 65? He has maintained himself very well.

12. Gulshan Grover and Alok Nath (59)

One of the best villains in Bollywood - Gulshan Grover, and one of the best TV actors - Alok Nath; they are both very versatile and capable actors. Gulshan appeared in about 400 movies, which is a lot! Alok Nath is mainly a television personality. He was the prey to jokes on social media a while back and suddenly became very popular among the teenagers.

13. Pooja Bhatt and Mandira Bedi (43)

Mandira Bedi appeared in the first ever daily soap, ‘ Shanti’. Pooja Bhatt is the eldest of the Bhatt daughters. She is an actor, a model and a film-maker. We first saw her on the silver screen in Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahi. Mandira Bedi is an actress too. Along with that, she is a fashion designer and a TV presenter. She often acts as the commentator and gives highlights of cricket matches. She is popular from the TV serial Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi which used to air on Star Plus. She has her own Sari store.

14. Daisy Irani and Zeenat Aman (63)

Heroines from the 70s, the golden era, both Dasy Irani and Zeenat Aman, are very admired and talented. While Zeenat was known for her beauty and sex appeal, Daisy played the roles of a boy at the beginning of her career. Daisy was always cute while Zeenat was a real queen. She was one of the leading actresses of her time. We last saw Daisy in Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi.

15. Jaya Bachchan and Simi Garewal (67)

Two excellent heroines of their time, both of them won hearts back then. Jaya aged early whereas Zeenat maintained herself and aged beautifully. Zeenat’s best work includes Mera Naam Joker, ‘ Karz’, ‘ Siddhartha’, ‘Saathi’ and Do Badan while Jaya’s best work includes ‘ Zanjeer’, Chupke Chupke and of course, her most loved role in the most iconic movie, ‘ Sholay’. She also appeared in films like Kabhi Kushi Khabhie Gham, Kal Ho Naa Ho, ‘Fiza’, etc., which are close to our hearts.

16. Soha Ali Khan and Bipasha Basu (36)

They are both young, beautiful and very bold. While Soha, sister of Saif Ali Khan, has appeared in Hindi as well as Bengali films, Bipasha is mainly concerned with Hindi films. They both come from different backgrounds and have different styles. Soha is a quieter and more elegant actress while Bipasha prefers tough roles. She has done many horror movies.

17. Hema Malini and Farida Jalal (66)

Hema Malini, the Dream Girl, was considered to be one of the prettiest heroines of her times. She started her career with Tamil movies. Farida was an adorable person. She acted in more than two hundred films and received several awards for her characters. She also worked in the television industry and received a lot of love and appreciation there as well.

18. Rahul Bose and Daler Mehndi (48)

Rahul is an actor, director, screenwriter, social worker and a rugby player. Daler Mehndi is a singer, songwriter, author and environmentalist. He is mostly remembered for his 90s pop songs such as Tunak Tunak Tun Tarara. He is full of Punjabi energy, love and zest and is a delight to hear.

19. Dolly Bindra and Nandita Das (45)

The famous contestant from Bigg Boss, Dolly is the girl who had anger management issues and started the famous line “baap pe nai jana”. Well, correctly said. Nandita is talented. She has many achievements to her name.

20. ‘ Govinda’ and Sanjay Misra (51)

The dance master Govinda, is also the king of comedy and entertainment. Sanjay Misra is also an actor and prefers the roles of the same genre. Both of them are now old, but their impact and contributions to the industry is still remembered.
