A day before the movie’s release, Anushka Sharma who happens to be the producer also, got a huge relief as the Bombay High court turned down the petition filed by a film production company that the movie’s story is copied. Gayatri Cine Production’s representatives Gayatri and Dashrath Rathod had filed a petition in the court requesting the court to stop the release of the movie for copying the story of a Gujarati movie.
The petitioners also made a request to the court to serve notices to Fox Star Studios, Phillauri actor and produce Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh along with their company Clean Slate Films for not obtaining the rights of their film legally. Anyhow, the judge did not accept the petition when the movie was so close to releasing. Also, he levied a fine of Rs 5 lakhs on the petitioner for wasting the valuable time of the court.
