A Shutdown in Karnataka was announced on 12th April, against the setting up of Cauvery Management Board to share the water with Tamilnadu. But, the Bandh has been called off now, as they wanted to carry on the same after seeing the Supreme Court verdict on 3rd May. movies in Karnataka.It is to be noted that the Karnataka farmers didn’t support the bandh, although they are not interested in setting up of the Cauvery Management Board. In its verdict on 16th February, Supreme Court ordered the central government to constitute Cauvery Management Board within 6 weeks and reduced the water share of Tamilnadu to 177.25 TMC. But, the Central government delayed it.
