Sandalwood has been in a deep sorrow from yesterday, as it lost two of his actors during the film shoot. The shooting of Maasti Gudi had been going at a quick pace. Climax fight scene was shot yesterday. During the fight scene, the hero and two of the villains had to jump into the lake from a helicopter.
Duniya Vijay
, the hero, jumped into the lake and the villain actor Uday and stuntman Anil too. But, as Vijay was wearing his life jacket, he swam easily and landed the surface. But, Uday and Anil were not provided with a life jacket. When the team found that the actors were struggling hard to swim, they tried to save them with the motor boat, which is kept for emergency. But, to their shock, the motor engine didn’t work and the boat didn’t even move an inch. FIR has been filed against the producer and the stunt crew. Without any safety precautions, they should not have conducted the shooting. Buying a couple of life jackets will not charge much for the producers, who bankroll a film with a biggie like Duniya Vijay. People started to question that are the lives of the villain stars have less value than that of the hero. At least from now onwards, the filmmakers should take adequate care in shooting action sequences.
