The dubbed films can help the owners of the theatres, most especially in places like North Karnataka, where many movie halls were closing shop. Films that were dubbed can help in reviving halls similar to the dubbed South Indian films that have helped the theatre owners in most of the North Indian states. The dubbing industry there is profitable and an advantage to many people.

Thomas D’Souza, the President of KFCC, said that they have no objection to dubbing of films in Kannada. He adds that the issue is still being considered and given that there have been legal order allowing dubbing and recommendations from the government as well, it is still not judicious to object. However, if there are any interested parties that can get the government to alter the rules, then they can object, according to D’Souza.
